My Observations post Demonetization

Long time since i made a post. This time am sharing some observations on the Nov 8 Demonetisation by PM Narendra Modi.

On Nov 8 PM made an announcement late in the evening that Rs.500 and Rs.1000 notes will become void from midnight to curb black money. I was unaware till the next morning assuming it to be a hoax as i got it as a WhatsApp message and i failed to watch the news after this announcement that day.

First of all I thought PM would have watched the movie Pichaikaaran for taking this move. Now for the past 20+ days I have been observing a tremendous crowd in both banks and ATM's. The panic created due to this is enormous.

I agree to the PM's decision that it could improve the economy long run and it will be a hardship for all people in India for next 50 days. People are ready to bear the burden on their shoulders for 2 months. The post announcement did not have a proper implementation in my opinion.

Cashless economy is fine with people who hold a bank account. Out of the many areas of implementation failure my points are here.

1. Government should have been ready with new Rs.500 note along with new Rs.2000 note
2. There is no need to cancel Rs.1000 note and newly designed Rs.1000 could have been brought in.
3. Private hospitals for emergency major ailments alone should be allowed to take currencies along with some proofs.
4. ATM's should have stopped dispensing 500/1000 notes from Nov 1.
5. Banks should be made available for 2 months on all Saturdays and for first month on all Sunday's too.
6. ATM's should have been calibrated well to adapt to new currency earlier in the month.
7. No new accounts should be allowed to open for first one month to minimise bankers overload.
8. Central Government should have organized special camps from Nov 8 for a week on what impact it will create and made the people not panic.
9. Insufficient Rs.100 denominations is another cause.

Some of the above may be valid and this has lead to long queues in ATM's and Banks. For metros there are atleast more number of banks and ATM's . In case of a village where there are fewer banks and ATM's situation will still be worser.

Day-to-Day activity of the common man has been disrupted. After all this I still strongly believe the move is for the good for the society. Now people are already facing trouble it is the duty of the government and law makers to make law common for Capitalist and layman so that  the pain borne by the common man for the past 20 odd days and the days coming in future will not be a colossal waste. Hope good will happen.👍👍👍

Name Numerology Calculator in Java

Hi All,

Few months back I wanted to choose a name from a list of names which sums up to the number 5 for my niece. The requirement was name and initial together should sum up to 5.

I visited a couple of websites which talked about this but didn't have a clear tool to help me achieve what I wanted to do. So I wrote a simple Java program

People who are looking out for such a need can use this. If there are any anomalies let me know.

Download link is a class file written in Java. So, to execute it you need java installed in your machine and java classpath variables set.

Download

On clicking Download, it will prompt for gmail login. Provide your account details and you can download.

Usage : Run "java NumerologyCalculator" from command prompt (without double quotes).

It will prompt "Enter the name with initial without special character/number/space"

Provide the name without special characters and you can know what number your name has.

Sample :

host@user:~/Desktop$java NumerologyCalculator

Mr.Velukkudi Krishnan's answer for Deivam Manushya RoopeNa

Happened to watch the video of Mr.Velukkudi Krishan in you tube about "Deivam Manushya RoopeNa"

Gist :
In this video Mr.Krishnan says the Almighty is not expecting to do any favor for him directly. Instead he wanted his devotees to help the poor by any means (Physically, Monetarily). He also opposes the wastage of Milk, Curd or any food items that is been used for Abishekam's which can be properly used to feed 1000's of starving children. Also he claims that when a marriage is done in any religion the food is been given to people who already have sufficiently to help themselves. Rather than inviting people who already are well to do the food can be served to larger audience. Also he advices people not to confine themselves to religion/caste/creed/country to help others. According to Upanishad's all human beings are God' children. So immaterial of the barriers he ask everyone to help the needy people.

Finally he claims that a true Vaishnavite/Devotee is not the one who prays or praise the Lord. Lord himself cannot help all people directly. A true Devotee is one who cares for the welfare of the world without expecting anything in return.

Embedded the youtube video of the same.

Cheers

On TV Programs

I used to watch TV channels particularly Vijay TV as I prefer to play with my little cousins rather than watching TV. Vijay TV has come up with some interesting programs recently. Not all programs are really good even in Vijay TV. Yesterday I happened to watch Makkal TV at around 7:30 PM. I watched a program where a person looked like a Teacher conducting a Quiz program onScience.

He demonstrated some of the day to day scientific things that go unnoticed or given less preference. One such Question was what is that makes drinking Soda when opened bring up bubbles. The next question that followed was why there was a high brightness in the bottle when the bottle is opened.

People were able to easily answer the first question and several people could not think of the answer for second question.

There was another question on who discovered Bifocal lens. Most of us are wearing glasses but are still not aware is what he was explaining. I would recommend such informative programs to be broadcast-ed in the media as most people watch it rather than having programs like "Kutram Nadandhu Enna".
